The Graduate Program in Food Science of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of São Paulo aims at training MScs and PhDs to promote scientific and technological development in Food Sciences

HISTORY
The Graduate Program in Food Science was established in 1968. Although its initial focus was on Biochemistry applied to food, its scope expanded to include a Food Science perspective. It is ranked as a top Graduate Program in Brazil according to the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Personnel (CAPES), a body associated to the Brazilian Ministry of Education. Since 2001, the Graduate Program in Food Science has received maximum grade (CAPES level 7).
