Joilson de Oliveira Martins
Joilson O. Martins is an associate professor at the University of Sao Paulo (USP - Brazil), in the Department of Clinical Analyses and Toxicology, School of Pharmaceutical Science. He is an enthusiast researcher focused on the understanding the different cellular aspects influenced by insulin as well as the modulation of the signalling pathways exerted by other hormones. His group is also interested on investigating how insulin can influence the innate immune response during an inflammatory proccess and the cytokine control over the whole state. He has a joint project with Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery, Karolinska Institute (KI – Sweden).
